The Highlander Restaurant

We are a coutry restaurant geared towards the country traveller, as few who pass through Clarens, can resist the temptation to stop and take in the mountain air and splendour of the Eastern Free State. Our food is known for its consistantly family orientated home-grown-country recipes. A place where you can gather on a bench outside for a drink before having a meal in the restaurant. Or book a table next to the fireplace in winter and enjoy a rich hearty home made pie or curry.
